AS Monaco - The rise of new superpower in world football ?

Unlimited transfer budget, Star studded line up , backed by a billionaire , not even in the darkest moments of their dream AS monaco fans would have thought about these words in 2010 . Just three years down the line it is one of the richest clubs in the world who are joining the likes of Real Madrid , FC Bayern , PSG and Manchester City . But $$$$ is not the only solution to build a indestructible team that can perform in all the competitions and dominate the elite clubs . They need a solid system to promote the youth players and a good balance between experienced star players in the line up . When you look at P$G they bought 5 experienced star players and their transfer budget for the season was almost over . They literally had no good backup when key players got injured but they managed to come out at the top with desired results last season . With the UEFA financial fair play system coming soon it surely will be interesting to see how they manage to play according to the rules and yet manage to lure top targets for ridiculous money .

With the likes of James rodriguez , Joao Moutinho , Radamel Falcao and Carvalho already joining the new mega rich football club it is just a matter of time they will get their other targets who are most likely di maria , Nani , Isimat - mirin and Hulk set to take the league by storm As Monaco looks to be the best team in the world in couple of seasons . But signing star players wins you glory ?? It is definitely . No offense to French Ligue but the league is still not competitive enough like bundesliga , Laliga or Premier league . With a line-up like this Ligue 1 title should be with monaco every year , nothing short of it is considered as a failure given that they have spent over 150million euros already on star players and Only P$G standing between them and the Ligue 1 title . But Champions league is a whole new ball game . To compete against the best in Europe and get back to the glory days of 2004 Claudio ranieri  needs to buy a solid defence and a world class defensive midfielder to support joao moutinho . Looking at their transfer targets they are planning to go ahead with the present Ligue 2 winning defenders . Only time will tell what's in store for AS Monaco . As things stand they are going to lure lot of new supporters and given the fact that Monaco is one of the best places on earth no wonder star players are willing to move there for that kind of money plus no tax on their extraordinary pay .
